Projects in Timesheets MTS
Projects form the top level organizational structure in Timesheets MTS. Projects can be associated with a customer and a project can comprise any number of sub tasks. Timesheets MTS allows you to track high level information about projects including budget information and project responsibilities, and allows you to link directly to project documentation such as quote documents or project plans. Invoices generated by Timesheets MTS are generated on the basis of projects.
The project maintenance screen provides a list of created projects and their sub tasks down the left hand side, and a details form for the selected project on the right. To select a project click on it in the indented list on the left hand side of the screen. Tips on the contents of each field can be seen by hovering your mouse pointer over the field.
Each project has many features that allow you to record and control how activity is recorded and billed for that project. You can access these details via the tabs at the top of the Project Maintenance screen.The Project Details screen allows you to enter basic information like project name and number, project description, assign project manager, and designate which stage the project is up to (if required). To access the project maintenance screen you must be logged in with sufficient permissions. It can be accessed from the Project Maintenance button on the main toolbar or from the Project Maintenance option of the Data Maintenance drop down menu.
