Hi all,
New guy here with first post, not so new to the Time Clock MTS software, as I was using the free version for almost a year now and it was so good of a program that I recently decided to tell our company manager to buy the paid version so we can use it with a touch screen monitor to replace his old paper punch machine and save some money.
So far we bought it recently by the end of July, order ID: TIM090730-6926-16103 and it has worked really good for our company. I am the one in charge of setting the system up, so I will input issues about the software I encounter. Pretty much of a novice to intermediate programmer I understand many programming languages and will understand the TC MTS from a programmers point of view.
The program is the best one out of all the one's out there I tried googling in. Will always recommend it.

Back to the point:
It seems like the setting of 110% which is 116 pixels per inch, will make the program not want to start. I tried the default setting 96dpi and it worked, also I tried the 120dpi and it worked.
First, the welcome screen shows up and after the whole screen of the program loads, Puff! It disappears under the 110% setting.
I am using Windows XP SP3 by the way. I also shut down as many services from Windows I needed to make it work for the Compaq Presario 4910 -- 266MHz Pentium 64MB computer and so far the little program works good. Having shut down so many services, I got it down to using only 34MB in system resources, and with TC open to about 54MB if I can remember.
After this issue, one of the things I beg to be fixed is the ability for it to work under 120dpi without the menu descriptions in the options dialog window not showing up properly. I mean the Keypad Interface looks much bigger for a 15 inch touch screen monitor under this setting making it expand to fill the screen as it is able to.
Since it is the only program in the computer (like a kiosk), we want even to be able to fit the whole screen under 800x600 or whatever setting. With the window's X button disabled or the minimize button also disabled, so employees don't close the program. This sort of things and more.
Sincerely,
Dery |

Hi Dery,
I'll plead ignorance here and say I have no idea where I change the DPI setting under Windows! Can you let me know?

This article explains how to change the DPI setting in Windows XP or Vista and also how to implement it in a software: Making DPI-aware applications for Windows
I was trying to make the program bigger, and I mean that the buttons in the Keypad Interface selected would get bigger so they are easier to touch with the touchscreen monitor. They actually got bigger under the setting of 120dpi, but the problem then was that whenever you'll go to the options menu, the text wrapping in the menu descriptions will show the bottom line missing half of the letters vertically speaking. I wish to have a screen capture so I can show you.
Thanks Mark for your reply |
