For what ever reason, when I update to the new version, it is able to connect from the control panel applet, but Timeclock MTS fails to connect.
I am wondering if it would be any faster when used over a remote network. Currently when the program loads, or someone punches, the ui freezes for 20 seconds before recording the punch and becoming responsive again. It is weird because the CP applet is really snappy. Have tryed it over a direct public IP, and over a VPN, and both take 20 secs. Of course my client on a local network takes 1-3 seconds. |

Currently Time Clock MTS is hard-coded to use the 3.51 connector, however you can force it to use the 5.1 connector by doing the following:
Open up this file in Windows Notepad:
C:\Program Files\Time Clock MTS\timeclock.ini
And change the setting
MySQLDriver=
To
MySQLDriver= MySQL ODBC 5.1 Driver
Then run the software and let me know how you go. |

Does timeclock.ini exist on a client install?
Is there a different method for clients? |

Yes, it exists and I notice i've made a typo in my previous answer. Directory SHOULD be:
c:\Program Data\Time Clock MTS\timeclock.ini |
