In our office the computers run 24 hours a day. The employees log off the windows in the evening and log back in the morning. I have noticed that since the timeclock mts was installed these computers when we try to log in the morning the monitors show grey screen and do not display properly until we force restart the computers by pressing on the power button. Pressing Ctrl-Alt-Delete doe not help since the display is messed up and again no normal menus/desktop is visible in the monitor. This is happening in the server version installed in a windows server 2008 computer and also in the win xp client computers. Note that this issue started right after I installed this software and is limited to these computers only. I have many other computers (which do not have the timeclock mts software installed) in my network and do not have the same display issue. I am not a computer geek, but it appears that there is a memory leak associated with the software (some times there is a error message indicating that there is not enough memory available to do tasks in the computer when we log in in the morning). Is this is a known issue and if so how soon is this going to be fixed?
In case the fix is not going to be available in the near future, can I uninstall the software and ask for a refund? _________________ Kumar |

I've been noticing something similar on my server install. The individual PC client install doesn't have problems except for maybe running a bit slow.
But the last few months, just trying to open the program and log in and make changes to times, the program eats a ton of memory and completely makes the computer desktop look all crapped out. It blinks and flashes and the task bar is at the top instead of the bottom. It seems to affect explorer in some way to where I can't click on anything or see anything. It almost looks like the TimeClock program window expanded itself but shows up blank. It's really weird and that's the best way I can explain it.
The only fix I can use is rebooting the server and that's a pain in the butt if I have to do that everytime. |

I took a screen capture of what happens. Notice how the entire screen is just white! The taskbar and the Start button is gone. But something shows up in the top right corner.
And it just keeps blinking every 2 seconds.

Hi Guys,
Can I get you try running the keypad interface on the clients for a few days and see if this helps the problem?

Same issue here, I'll also try the keypad interface and see if that helps. I'll also be running an AV scan and sfc /scannow to see if anything else comes to my attention.
For what it's worth, I'm only having that problem with two machines running XP Home edition, the XP Pro machine and Vista Home machine don't seem to have any problems. |
