A new version of Timesheets MTS has just been uploaded taking the software to version 2.5.2. This release includes a fix to the Project Detailed Billable Report, the inclusion of some debugging code to the Test Connection button on the System Options screen, and the removal of disabled employees from the Two Week Timesheet report.

I've just uploaded a new version of Timesheets MTS that takes the software to version 2.5.1. This version includes a new report, the Summary Hours report, a fix to an error that occurred occasionally when the message store was polled, and some improvements to the speed of generation of the Productivity Report. A user of Timesheets MTS noticed that the password for a MySQL/SQL Server connection was stored in plain text in the Timesheets MTS configuration file. Version 2.4.35 of Timesheets MTS (which I've just uploaded) remedies this by encrypting the password. This is a recommended upgrade for anyone using TImesheets MTS with either MySQL or SQL Server.

A recent update to Windows Vista and Windows 7 seems to have conflicted with a component we use in Timesheets Lite and Timesheets MTS. We've updated this component to fix the issue and uploaded new versions of both products. You can read more about the problem over at the Time Clock MTS Blog.

Well happy new year to you all! We've just made our first release for the year taking Timesheets MTS to version 2.4.34. This new version adds some new debugging code to the detailed time activity report and widens the project selection box on the activity reporting screen. I've also updated the default empty database that is installed with each fresh install of the software to include periods for the fresh new year of 2011!

A minor release today that includes some changes to three different reports. Firstly, the Project Performance Report and the Project Task Budget Report now allow you to filter the selected by projects to include only billable projects. To do this just check the 'Only Billable Projects' checkbox on the respective report configuration screens. The third report with a change is the Two Week Timesheet. There's a new checkbox available on the configuration screen for this report that says 'Include Mileage'. Check this box and when you run the report you'll get a day by day and project by project summary of travel for each employee along side of the time sheet. A handy little addition and sure to be of use to lots of people!

I've just released a new version of Timesheets MTS that includes a couple of fixes to some resizing issues on the Project Task Report screen and two new settings to the Two Week Timesheet. The first setting, Show Active Projects Only will restrict the timesheet to showing only projects that have had some time spent on them by the user during the timesheet period. The second change, Show One Week Only, will just show the first week of the selected two week period.

The major change to this version is the addition of another new report, the Project Task Budget Report. This is more or less a summary of the information that you can see on the Project Performance Report, but rather than breaking down project performance by task and employee it presents the information aggregated by task. It's a useful report to see how your current task time spend is performing against the budget you've set for each task. As usual the report can be found on the Tools->Reporting menu.

I've released a new version of Timesheets Lite today that includes some performance improvements, a couple of very minor bug fixes and the adding of a new report. The performance improvements are in the regions of the program that deal with the lists of created projects, these should now be a little quicker and more reliable. The bug fixes dealt with a couple of date formatting issues which have now been resolved. The new report is called the 'Two Week Timesheet' and can be found on the main reporting screen. It displays the time spent on projects per user across a selected two week period. The report is split into two sections displaying billable and non billable projects.

A new version of Timesheets MTS has just been released. It contains a new report, the Two Week Timesheet which displays all the open billable and non billable projects and the time that each employee has spent on the projects over a two week period. It's well layed out and easy to understand, and like many of the new reports added to the software was suggested by an existing Timesheets MTS user. The other change to the software was a small fix to the Value Added Report.

I've just uploaded a new version of Timesheets MTS that includes a number of bug fixes and a couple of new features. Details are below.

• Replaced the "parent project" drop-down on the Task Maintenance page. Somehow this went missing in version 2.4.25.
• Modified the Weekly Time Display to include the week start date in the header of each weekly column.
• Added a 'prevent over-budget posting' setting to tasks. If you're using a task based budget and have estimated labor hours set then the software will prevent posting of times to a task that is over-budget (or will be made over-budget by a new posting). Note that you must have the estimated hours budget set to more than zero for this to function.
• Fixed a couple of resizing problems on the project maintenance page and the invoice maintenance page. Also fixed a small display issue with the find contact text box on the contact maintenance page.

Thanks again must go to users of Timesheets MTS who told me about most of these errors, some of them are fairly obscure and I can't fix them if I'm not told! Also thanks to other users who suggested the couple of features that I included, they are pretty useful and I am sure they will get used.
